Chemical&Medical Pouch Packaging

Chemical and medical-related products range from dry fertilizer and tablets to natural health supplements, and from shampoo and gel to liquid detergent. Dry products and liquids behave very differently in a pouch, so the first step is to separate dry products from liquids and gels.

Dry products such as fertilizer granules and supplement powders are normally packed on vertical form fill seal machines, or on premade pouch machines with a weighing and filling system. Small single-use portions of powders or granules can be packed as sachets. A zipper applicator is available as an option on our horizontal premade pouch machine for products that are used over several days. Liquids and gels, including shampoo and liquid detergent, are better suited to premade pouches with a liquid filling system.
